Heading to Joplin for Thanksgiving

We’re leaving tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with Lynda’s family in Joplin. We’ve got the van ready, plenty of dvds for the kids to enjoy and snacks for the drive. Here’s hoping it all goes well!!! And if you’re in Joplin, let us know…we’d love to see ya!

Colin — Lego-master

Colin LOVES his legos. He’s always creating something new…and it has to go on display in our living room for several weeks. Of course, the masterpieces are also a magnet for the twins…so usually there are some tears as his creations fall into the hands of the enemies!

Here is his latest creation. We’re going to send this pic into the Brickmaster magazine and see if he makes it into the “Readers Creations” section.

Hoped to get these up sooner…but it’s been one of those weeks!

Colin – Anakin Skywalker

Aubrey – a witch (a nice one of course)

Addison – Rockets cheerleader (we’ve whole-heartedly embraced Rochester’s sports teams)

Pumpkin carving

Lynda decided she would try to ‘make a memory’ by carving a pumpkin with the kids. After it was all said and done, she was convinced that pumpkin carving is WAY over rated! Let’s just say that by the time it was all over with, the dog was covered with pumpkin guts, Addison ate several handfuls of innards and tears were present as the face wasn’t carved as Colin had planned!

End of a great weekend

We wrapped up a weekend visit from Lynda’s parents. We had a great time with them here…and Helen made us some great meals! The kids had so much for having grandma and grandpa here.

Lynda starts her new job at St John’s Hospital tomorrow. A full week of hospital orientation and training… so we’re shuffling around the twins all week with me taking some extra time to be at home. She’s looking forward to the job…I think she’s going to do great.

I’ll post some halloween pics in the next day or two… left our camera at my brother’s house!
